Permanent Orienteering Courses

Can't find a suitable event? Try DIY orienteering at a Permanent Course. These are fixed orienteering courses available throughout Great Britain. They are usually designed for beginners but often include difficult options for improving or experienced orienteers. They are a great way to improve your navigation skills, experience orienteering without needing to attend an event or to simply make a walk more interesting. The following permanent courses are available in the EAOA region.

Brandon Park

  • The forest is always accessible but there may be limitations om some areas at certain times of the year
  • There are three graded courses suitable for beginners and intermediate orienteers
  • White and/or yellow standard controls suitable for beginners
  • Orange and/or light green standard controls suitable for people with some experience

Bridge Wood

Wandlebury Country Park
